When stepping into the role of lead in the space of LGBTI Inclusion, part of me was terrified that I had just made the worst career mistake of my life whilst the other half of me was jumping up and down with excitement.
The reality is that I could not have made a better decision. During my time as being ‘out’ at Scentre Group, I have received nothing but overt support and encouragement. So much so that I have been promoted twice during this period.
I am most proud of the work we have done around our first ever Gender Transition and the subsequent policy that we released in addition to our recognition as a Bronze tier employer after only 18 months into our strategy. At Scentre Group, LGBTI inclusion is more than words on a page – we life and we breath it.
