The Queensland Police Service (QPS) is the principal law enforcement agency responsible for policing the Australian state of Queensland.

The Queensland Police Service contributes to the Government’s objectives for the community by working to keep communities safe. We do this through our focus on stopping crime; making the community safer; strengthening relationships with the community and equipping our workforce for the future so we can meet the challenges of policing into the future. There are in excess of 15,000 employees both sworn officers and staff members across a range of disciplines.

The QPS has two LGBTI groups within the organisation. The LGBTI Liaison Officers support the community and information can be found at: https://www.police.qld.gov.au/programs/community/lgbti/default.htm

The QPS LGBTI Support network supports staff within the QPS who identify as LGBTI or who may have family who identify as LGBTI: https://mypolice.qld.gov.au/blog/2016/02/10/new-network-promote-qps-lgbti-friendly-workplace/

The Queensland Police Service employs a range of professionals to meet the changing needs of the community.
